Archaeologist, historian, populariser of science, expert in the sphere of culture, science, protection of cultural heritage, since 2012 deals with cultural heritage in the armed conflict, since 2006 has experience of working in demining zones, at archaeological sites damaged by wars and other anthropogenic influence.
Since 2002, Evelina Kravchenko has been working at the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, candidate of historical sciences, senior researcher. Until 2014, she headed the research of the Inkerman Expedition in Sevastopol. In 2009, she became a co-founder of the Ukrainian Archaeologists Association, until 2014 she was the secretary of the board of the organization. Took part in a number of international scientific projects, in particular, in the project on the study of the Tauric Chersonesos and its chora headed by Prof. J. Carter (Institute of Classical Archaeology of the University of Texas).
Evelina is the author and co-author of six monographs and about 70 papers. He is a member of the group for documenting crimes related to cultural heritage at the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. He has been an expert of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation since 2020 and of the Crimean Platform network since 2021.
