Oleksiy Martsenyuk

Co-founder and Executive Director of the Center for Defense Strategies, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine (2019-2020), Advisor to the Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (2020-2021), Investment Director at leading private investment companies and investment banks (Morgan Stanley, ING, EastOne), participant of the Revolution of Dignity and civil society activist.

Oleksiy is an expert in security and defence issues, and his areas of focus include military justice reform in Ukraine and the protection of military personnel’s rights, civilian democratic control, the fight against corruption in Ukraine’s defence sector, and the overall implementation of NATO best practices in the Ukrainian military.
