Before joining the Razumkov Centre, he served as the First Assistant to Minister of Defence of Ukraine (2015-16), worked for SC Ukroboronservice (2004-2005).
He has 21 years of military service (Air Force, Lt Col. Ret.) including participation in the UN peacekeeping operation (UNTAES).
He graduated from Air Force Academy in 1984, got training in the US Air Force in 1993-94 & 2000-2001 and studied international relations and security at the Royal College of Defence Studies, London, UK (2007).
His main areas of Research are International Security, Conflict Management, National Security and Defence Governance and Reforms, NATO-Ukraine relations.
