Ukraine and Bulgaria will hold the Second Black Sea Security Conference of the International Crimea Platform in Sofia 14-15 April 2024.

Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has undermined the security of the Black Sea and Azov regions and the whole of Europe and the world. In order to develop effective strategies to respond to the current challenges and ensure sustainable development for all peace-loving states in the region, Ukraine and Bulgaria will jointly hold the Second Black Sea Security Conference in Sofia on 15 April.

The conference will be attended by delegations from 42 states and 8 international organisations. The conference participants will analyse the impact of Russian aggression on the security situation in the Black Sea-Azov region and beyond, discuss strategies for responding to existing threats and the future of regional security. The key topic of discussion will also be the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

The Centre for Defence Strategies is planning to broadcast the event online
